Instructions to eFile an Emergency Motion
Instructions to eFile Applications
All attorneys are required to register in the EFAST system and efile in this Court. Self-represented individuals may also register, using the information in their docketing notice or by calling the Clerk's Office at 404-656-3450.
Please remember that if you have registered to e-file in this Court, all docketing notices, orders, opinions and other filings in your appeals will be transmitted to you via e-mail from the COA EFast System. Nothing will be sent to you via the U.S. Postal Service. Please check your spam and trash folders, and whitelist coaefast@gaappeals.gov so the court's orders and opinions do not go astray.
Also, you are responsible for updating your email address and other profile information in the COA EFAST system. We recommend that you include a secondary e-mail address (your paralegal, administrative assistant, or another attorney) to be cc'd on all the notification e-mails from our system.
Please do not attach exhibits to briefs and motions, other than motions to recuse. If the exhibits are in the record, then please cite to them by the PDF volume and page number in the appellate record.
If you file a Notice of Filing Petition for a Writ of Certiorari, please don't attach a copy of your actual cert petition to the Supreme Court of Georgia/
Copy Fees & Downloading of Electronic Trial Court Records:
Copies of Court documents are available for $1.50 per page. You may obtain these as a paper copies, which you can pick up at our office or we can mail to you if you pay postage. You may also obtain electronic copies in pdf format if you provide your email address.
If you obtain paper copies, you may either pick them up at the Clerk’s office or have them mailed to you if you provide postage cost. Or we can email electronic copies ro you if you provide your email address. (
Reprinted Admission Certificates are $10.00 each.
Copies of the Record Index or Case History are a flat $4.00 each.
To obtain a copy of the entire record or portions of the record, call our office with the details of your request, and we can tell you the page count and cost. You can then pay thru our web site and we will either email the material to you or send it by the U.S. Postal Service.
To access electronic records in your case (other than sealed records, which must be reviewed on site at the Clerk's Office), the fees are as follows:
$50.00: Records and transcripts total up to 500 pages.
$100.00: Records and transcripts total 500-2,000 pages.
$150.00: Records and transcripts total 2,001-4,000 pages.
$250.00:Records and transcripts total more than 4,000 pages.
Note: The fee is charged per party. Once one attorney who represents a party pays the fee, all attorneys associated with that party may download or view the files.
To gain access to a record in your case, log into the EFAST system, select the My Cases and Filings link and click on the case style. Go to the Records Tab to complete your purchase transaction.
